SGL Prep Agar (Nutrient Agar Medium) is a ready-to-use general purpose culture medium supplied in 200ml syrup bottles for the cultivation and maintenance of non-fastidious bacteria. Commonly used in microbiology laboratories, quality control testing, environmental monitoring and routine laboratory investigations, the medium supports the recovery of a broad range of aerobic microorganisms from samples, cultures and environmental swabs. Its simple, nutrient-rich formulation makes it particularly useful for routine culture work, organism maintenance and preparation of working cultures. The ready-prepared format removes the need for media preparation and sterilisation, helping laboratories save valuable time whilst maintaining consistent testing procedures.
