SGL
SGL O-F Medium is a ready-to-use culture medium supplied in 15ml tubes for determining how microorganisms utilise carbohydrates. Commonly used in microbiology, clinical and quality control laboratories, the medium helps differentiate bacteria that metabolise glucose through oxidation from those that ferment carbohydrates. This makes it particularly useful when identifying and characterising Gram-negative bacteria, including non-enteric organisms, during routine microbiological investigations. The ready-prepared format removes the need for media preparation and sterilisation, helping laboratories save valuable time whilst maintaining consistent testing procedures.
