SGL MacConkey Broth Purple Double Strength is a ready-to-use selective and differential culture medium supplied in convenient 10ml polypropylene-capped tubes. Commonly used for the detection and enumeration of coliform bacteria in milk, dairy products, water samples and other microbiological test materials, the medium supports the differentiation of lactose-fermenting organisms through acid production. The double-strength formulation is suitable for inoculation with larger sample volumes, whilst the prepared format eliminates media preparation and sterilisation, helping laboratories save time and maintain consistent testing procedures.
